Glass. Recycling without any loss in quality.
There is practically no limit to the number of times glass can be recycled. There are very few other materials that can be recycled so perfectly and used again and again to manufacture top quality products. Using waste glass has two main advantages: it conserves natural resources and at the same time saves energy consumption. This is, though, only the case if waste glass is separated according to type: clear glass must not be contaminated with any coloured glass, brown glass should not have more than 8 percent different coloured glass added to it and the limit for green glass is 15 percent.
In our facilities, waste glass is sorted, broken up and cleaned. The result is a high quality raw material that is in high demand on the market. We return around 775,000 tonnes of glass back into production cycles every year. |
