REMONDIS takes back transport packaging in a big way and provides both manufacturers and distributors with a convenient and legally sound take-back system.
Practically all goods have to travel long distances to reach consumers. Strong transport packaging is used to ensure that the products are well protected en route to their destination. The packaging accompanies the goods – from the manufacturer to the wholesaler, retailer or final consumer. Transport packaging which is no longer needed is subject to the Packaging Ordinance. This means that manufacturers and retailers are obliged to take back the packaging and ensure it is recycled. We provide practicable solutions – from the collection to the processing to the recycling.

The Packaging Ordinance has been in force since December 1991. Its main goal is to promote the re-use and recycling of packaging. In order to achieve this, it has imposed obligations on manufacturers or retailers: those businesses which place packaging onto the market must take it back once it has been used and recycle it. In order to fulfil their legal take-back and recycling obligations, producers and retailers can set up their own system or transfer these tasks to a third party, for example to REMONDIS. |
