Good ones are refilled, bad ones are recycled – that way nothing is lost, every cartridge is used.

They are needed for fax machines, copying machines and printers: ink and toner cartridges. However, no matter whether they are colour or black ink: when they are empty, they are of no use. They should never, however, be thrown away into the residual waste bin. For empty ink and toner cartridges can sometimes be refilled and all of them can be used for materials recycling.

What does REMONDIS do with ink and toner cartridges?

We accept the empty cartridges, sort them and then supply so-called 'refillers' with the intact modules. The refurbishing carried out there helps to conserve primary resources and is also, by the way, an extremely sensible procedure as far as costs are concerned – for you as the consumer pay considerably less for a refilled cartridge than you do for the original name products. If the ink and toner cartridges are broken then they are used for materials recycling where the plastics and metals are recovered – according to type and cleaned of any residual ink.
