Bulky waste.
A colourful mixture.
What was good in the past can also be good in the future: we make defined raw materials from bulky waste that can be fed smoothly back into the economic cycle.
From old sofas, to unwanted skis to rusty chandeliers: all large objects come under bulky waste. There are two ways to dispose of this waste: either you use the bulky waste collection service or you take your unwanted objects to the recycling centre. To find out whether REMONDIS is responsible for this service in your area and how best you should proceed, ring our hotline number: 0180 208 0 208.
What does REMONDIS do with bulky waste?
Once the bulky waste has been transported, it is sorted. During this sorting process, we separate recyclable fractions from each other – especially wood, metal and plastics as well as paper, card and cardboard – and remove them from materials which are hardly suitable for materials recycling such as mattresses or carpets. Whilst the classic raw materials undergo several processing stages and are freed of any foreign matter, we use the other materials to make so-called substitute fuels that can be used in furnaces at power plants and cement works. At the end of the day, nothing is left over – everything is used.
