Construction and demolition waste.

Raw materials for brand-name products.

At REMONDIS, construction and demolition waste is processed into secondary raw materials separated strictly according to type. Or we use it to make new products, for example, our brand-name recycled construction material, remexit®.

No construction project is without waste. Whether it is a new building that is being built or an old one being renovated: there is almost always construction and demolition waste. And often in such large volumes that it is not possible to dispose of it in the residual waste wheelie bin and one or more containers are needed. A good alternative here is to dispose of it at recycling centres as that way you do not have to pay transport costs.

What does REMONDIS do with construction and demolition waste?

Waste from construction sites primarily consists of mineral waste such as rubble, stones or pieces of concrete as well as scrap metal and waste timber. As all these fractions can be put to good use, we first separate them from each other very carefully and then send them on for further processing. Thus, new steel is made from scrap metal and chipboard is produced from clean waste wood. We process the recyclable minerals into quality tested construction materials which are in high demand in many branches as a top quality brand-name product.

We produce large quantities of grit: a simple product but one in high demand for constructing roads and paths.
