When it comes to environmental services, REMONDIS carries out every single stage of the value chain – from the collection to processing to recycling to disposal. Our target is to create an integral material-flow management system. For this reason, we produce, wherever possible, high quality raw materials, top products or environmentally friendly energy from materials which are no longer needed. And as practically every material has more than one use, we do not just rely on standard processes. Thanks to our research and development work, we are pushing forward treatment technologies and creating new, highly marketable products. By doing so, we succeed in closing more and more material life cycles.
Environmental services are worth their weight in gold. In Germany alone, they lower raw material and energy costs by around 2.7 billion euros every year. We are, therefore, committed to ensuring that this contribution continues to grow rapidly. |
