New structures: 1991 – 1996.

As there was such a large and varied amount of company activities, it became necessary to introduce new structures. And so, in 1992, the holding company was split into "Städtereinigungs GmbH & Co. KG" (city cleaning services) and "Entsorgungswirtschaft GmbH & Co. KG" (waste management) and restructured according to region and business division. The company continued to expand. It extended its activities into Poland.

In 1993, RETHMANN bought AIR Lippe Plant Lünen from VAW Aluminium AG. In 1994, the centre for dismantling and recycling electronic waste in Selm began business and the Warendorf composting plant was officially opened. One of the most important undertakings occurred in 1995 with the takeover of SARIA Bio-Industries in France which is active in the field of processing animal by-products.
