You are primarily active in the areas of collection, recycling and disposal. Besides emphasis being put on glass and paper recycling, other areas of work include landfills, composting plants and chemical-physical treatment facilities.
The training course includes, among other things:
- Using customer-oriented information and communications technology
- Accepting waste and allocating it to the corresponding disposal system
- Allotting vehicles and containers
- Controlling and monitoring technical processes as well as independently fixing malfunctions
- Operating, monitoring and maintaining waste recycling, treatment and disposal facilities
- Documenting and evaluating work and operation processes
- Awareness of costs, the environment and hygiene as well as implementing quality management
- Observing relevant laws, technical rules and regulations on work safety
