Starting signal for sustainable prosperity.
REMONDIS in India.
India has 1.2 billion inhabitants, almost one-seventh of the world’s population. Special know-how is needed if all those living in the country are to be supplied with clean water over the long term.
India is one of the so-called emerging economies with a prosperous future ahead of it. However, new problems are emerging due to the country’s outdated infrastructures: demand for water on this subcontinent may soon exceed supply. The Indian government is now looking to prevent this threat by setting up a programme of investments to modernize its water resources sector. Some improvements can, however, also be made by companies. REMONDIS set the course for the future in May 2009 when it took over an Indian company and founded a new subsidiary in the country.
Established in the shortest time
REMONDIS Aqua India already operates eleven wastewater treatment plants for some well-known industrial customers as well as for a number of local authorities based in the west Indian region of Maharashtra. Within the shortest time, we have made a name for ourselves in India as a company providing secure wastewater treatment that makes full use of both ecological and economical potential. As a result, REMONDIS took over the planning, construction and operation of two wastewater treatment facilities for two locations owned by international automobile companies. These successes are spurring us on: we are aiming to offer our expertise in the Indian recycling sector, too.
Location with a future
REMONDIS Aqua India is based in Pune, a well-developed industrial city near Mumbai. Here we exceeded the high expectations of our partners right from the very start.
Complex but profitable processes
We treat industrial wastewater using complex chemical-physical processes – so that not a single drop is wasted in the future.
