Glass.
Perfect recycling.
Glass is not simply glass. Separating waste glass according to colour and kind plays an important role in the recycling process.
All kinds of glass packaging – no matter whether it is a bottle or a jam jar – should be thrown away into containers for old glass and separated according to colour: green, clear and brown glass. Flat glass – for example windows – should not, however, be thrown away into these bottle banks. It must be handed in at recycling centres or collected via the bulky waste collection service. Unfortunately, old mirrors are not so easy to recycle and so belong in the residual waste bin.
What does REMONDIS do with glass?
Sorting, reducing in size, cleaning and melting down – these are the four main stages of glass recycling. The result is a high quality raw material that is of the same high quality as comparable glass made from primary raw materials – the production of recycled glass, however, is considerably less expensive and kinder to the environment.

N.B.
Flat glass and window glass have a different composition as well as a higher melting point than normal waste glass. It should not, therefore, be thrown away into bottle banks!
